It's not often that you stumble upon a bluegrass band with the quality and originality that you find in HardLine Drive. For 3 years, Toni Erskine and Greg Fuson's distinct lyrical and musical compositions, combined with Danielle Smith's slicing tenor vocals and robust mandolin accompaniment, have been the driving force behind HLD's progressive sound.
Their first CD, "Gonna Be Alright", released in the fall of 2008, created a musical "buzz" and has a unique, cross-genre appeal. The Freshman release is just a sampling of the diversity this young band is capable of delivering to the eager listener. With tracks ranging from "Highway," a smooth,ear bending snapshot written from the recent life changing events of the song's penman, Erskine, to the bluesy, duet rendition of "Nine Pound Hammer," there's something for everyone.  
The late 2009 additions of multi-instrumentalist- banjo exraordinaire, Wes Pettinger, and Head Bangin' Bassist, Jesse "The Hoss" Roberts, proved to ignite a contageous spark in HardLine Drive, comparable to the fireworks between soul-mates' on a first date. The Erskine, Fuson, Smith, Pettinger, Roberts combination is sure to convince even the toughest of ciritcs- HardLine Drive is a band on the rise, a recipe for success.
